It is important to create backlinks for your website to get website ranking and traffic as well. Most people know what are backlinks but not many know how to get best quality backlinks. Here in today’s article, we will discuss ways to get high-quality backlinks.

Before we start with this, we will first discuss what backlinks should you avoid:

1. Avoid putting your links on a page that has very less or thin content. Google does not consider much of the pages that have very less content. Hence, the SEO value of these pages is also very less. So, there is no point putting your links there.
2. Do not choose websites that do not have a good domain authority. Putting your links on every other website may be good from SEO point of view but those links will not contribute to your search engine ranking.
3. If you do not want to compromise with your site’s reputation, just done spam the comment section of every other website.

1. Article Submission sites: Submit your articles on some good article submission sites that have a good domain authority. While doing this, make sure that your anchor text is appropriate and effective. Target only those sites that have an SEO niche. There will be no value of your link without a relevant anchor text.

You can put up your website link in the “about us” or “description” section of these sites. Google gives good ranking to social bookmarking and social networking sites. Just make sure that the sites you register on have a good site authority.

3. Broken Links Method:

Websites usually keep changing or shifting the content on them. This way, the links which are given on such pages get broken. So when a user clicks on such a link, it redirects to a page that says “404 Page not found”. You can make use of such links for your benefit in the given way-
1. Find out the sites that are similar to yours, and find the broken links in them.
2. Check where that link originally linked to.
3. Offer the website a content for that link, the content will be on your website.
This way, both the websites can be benefitted.

4. Use Infographics: An well-designed infographic has the capability to get viral over the web in no time. You can put across any information in an attractive way for the users. Link the infographic to a related page on your website. If users like your infographic, they will definitely click on the link to get more details and information.

5. Skyscraping your content: Find out an article of your that is already good and then works towards making it more better. Make a better version of the original article and then put your links on the keywords that rank well.

6. Comment on blogs: You can leave comments on the blogs that belong to your industry along with the link to your website. Do not do it too much, do not spam the comment section.
