As the name suggests, SEO content writing can be described as a content writing practice keeping SEO in mind. This means, writing a content that helps your page to rank better in the search engines. Having good (but not too much) number of keywords, long enough content on each page, no blank page, etc are all some important features of content writing.
But this does not mean that you start stuffing your content with keywords unnecessarily. Your content should be long enough and relevant but not unnecessarily long just to get a better ranking. This may affect your image with users.
To avoid any wrong practice, keep in mind the following tips for an effective content writing:
1. Keyword Research and Optimization-
Keep in mind the page you are writing content for and make a list of related keywords. Keywords should be appropriate to the content. Check what keywords your competitors are using for the same type of content that is making them rank better. Properly placing your keywords in the content can help you increase your online visibility.
2. Organize and Promote your content- Instead of just putting up random words and sentences that do not make any sense, work towards writing an organized content. An organized content helps in sending out your true intentions of writing the content. Also, promote your content on various social media platforms so that more and more people know about you and visit your page.
3. Use proper use of images, videos, infographics etc-
Writing a monotonous, text-only content can bore your reader after some time. Use effective and interactive media to attract more users. Use images or videos related to your content or business. create infographics where necessary.
Content Writing is a broad field and requires strategies to be set up to bring out the desired outcome. You can not just create a web page, write content on it and expect your page to rank better automatically. You have to do some additional efforts for this. Analytics can help you give a better insight on what people look for the most on search engines and what are their search patterns. Keep in mind the age group of your target audience.
3. Create your content-
Once you have your goals and intentions clear and who will be your target audience, start working on your content. Take help from other sites when needed, but do not copy them. Create a unique and fresh content.
